New look home office and media room

We love it when previous clients invite us back to continue work on their home interior.  This lovely client did just that, she was wanting our assistance in making over her office and media room as they had never been finished when they moved into their new home a while back.

New artwork was chosen for the office and hung above our client’s new office desk and furniture.  An upholstered swivel chair in a dove grey was chosen, the white desk was styled with gold stationary and a gold base table lamp.  On the opposite side of the desk was a credenza which held our client’s excess paperwork and stationary, the top of the credenza was styled with some family pictures, a flower arrangement that mimicked the art that hung on the wall and the credenza also held a printer.

The media rooms walls were painted and carpeted in a dark grey to create the ideal movie watching environment.  The room already had an existing modular lounge and ottoman in it which worked well in the space.  We added some striking artwork above the modular lounge, chosen to compliment the moody feel of the room and introduce some deep jewel colours of emerald, amethyst and ruby.  These colours were then repeated in decorator accessories and scatter cushions around the room.  We also introduced some gold to carry through the mirror that was hung out in the hallway just outside the room.

We loved how these rooms looked after we completed them, they are such a contrast of light and dark but work really well and flow beautifully with the rest of the home.
