This was my first experience in working with an Interior Designer. I needed help with making my 40 year old home "flow" a little better. Prue was just amazing From the very first consultation to the end of the project. Prue was so thoughtful of my need to create a warm and friendly space. Always making sure that I was on board with what she was thinking and feeling on the design process. Along with new pieces , furnitute I already have was taken into consideration to fit in with the new . Always willing to change if it was not something to my taste. From our shopping trips (so well organised, so easy) to the carefully created art works, beautifully crafted custom made curtains/blind. Rugs to warm and brighten my spaces, cushions, lamps and final styling touchs. I have appreciated all that Prue has most carefully thought through to create my home. Engaging a designer was a completely new experience for me moving from a very big family house to a one-bedroom apartment. From my very first contact with Prue she was easily my choice, friendly, approachable and upfront with how it all works and what to expect. Prue 100% listened and delivered on everything I asked for, and more. She had the vision and gently encouraged me every step of the way. She measured, shopped and styled. It was an absolute delight to work with Prue on designing the interior and outside entertainment area of our home. From the moment we met, she was engaging, flexible, listened to our specific requirements and gave everything of herself to create beautiful and practical designs for my family. Her designs were detailed and gave us a real sense of what the outcome would be. The process was also really great - we loved the shopping sessions - what we did in 2 days would have take us years! Prue was so organised and had pre planned viewing of everything so we really only had to choose the short listed items. It was great fun and such an easy way (for us) to make our home wonderful. We had challenges during covid will delivery, but Prue was there to help us through these and always had an idea of what we would do in the interim. I cannot thank Prue enough. Prue from My Decorator created a clear understanding of the key issues for the layout, styling and flow of our proposed renovation. The consultation raised and answered lots of issues we hadn't really thought about.
