Living Room Update – No More Eighties

This client originally contacted us to ask if we could help update her home in preparation for her Son’s upcoming wedding. Of course, we said yes.

The last time she had decorated was in the 1980s so a lot of changes were made which freshened up the home.

Our client didn’t have the time to paint, and she wanted to work with her original flooring.  After having our first consultation we found out what her requirements were, likes and dislikes and then put together a decorating proposal that included new furniture and furnishings for the space.

We recommended a high leg, button back lounge in a custom fabric and matching armchairs, two side tables were part of our proposal which gave our client the option to use them together as a coffee table or separately as side tables, handy when entertaining.  Some contemporary art was hung above the lounge and a new modern floor lamp was placed in the corner for ambiance, then we completed the room with decorator accessories tastefully chosen to compliment the new look.

We placed the new furniture in a different layout which allowed for more seating so that when our client had guests over she had the option to entertain in this room.

As I was driving away from the styling session Kathy was blowing me very grateful kisses, which I of course loved. She wrote this testimony for me afterward:

“Great service, very professional and happy with the work done! A lot of great ideas. A good experience – thank you!”.

It was good knowing we were able to help update her home so that she felt happy with her Son having his wedding photos in their home.
