My Decorator created this beautiful space for a client who wanted a living room where they could entertain guests, it was to have a casual relaxed feel with furniture that could be easily moved and also incorporate apple green into the colour pallet.
Since we were working with a blank canvas and a long narrow space at that the aim was to make the living room intimate and the room feel not as narrow as it actually was. The use of a geometric patterned wallpaper that picked up the grey wall colour helped draw the eye across the room, as did the console table. Due to the size of the room being small appropriately scaled furniture was chosen. The addition of some accents of apple green, contrasted nicely with the grey colour scheme and warmth was introduced into the palette by way of timber. A charcoal rug grounded the sitting area. The client dabbles in photography so his own piece is displayed on the console and the adjacent wall has a display of family photos arranged gallery style also featuring his photography.
This space, once just a play area has now become a useful and much loved part of the family home.
