Have you been wondering what the interior design trends for 2023 will be? We’ve popped together a list of what we’ve seen gaining traction for 2023 in Interior Design.
Biophilic Design
Bringing nature inside in the form of natural materials, foliage, and colour schemes. Who doesn’t love a home interior that is in touch with nature? There has definitely been an increase in the use of natural materials such as stone, wood, natural fibres like wool and linen, and of course indoor plants in home interior design.
Earthy, Neutral Colours
Natural tones like muted greens, beiges, and deep oranges are becoming more popular. These colours instantly relax us and help us feel at ease and one with nature. While cool greys, are still a popular neutral choice, these greys are now becoming a little warmer in their undertone.
Multi-functional Spaces
Combining living, dining, and overall living spaces to maximise any area for optimum efficiency is the new norm. Who says a room needs to function to just suit the name it was given on it’s original floorplan? Home owners are thinking outside of the box and setting up their rooms to better serve their transitioning lifestyles.
Statement Accents
We are also seeing interior design trends for 2023 veering toward more bold visual impact with oversized artwork, statement chairs, and vibrant colours. Carefully collated statements are key in successfully achieving this look.
Smart Tech
Incorporating voice-activated lighting, home automation, and other tech-savvy features. It is 2023 and while this technology has been around for some time, it’s now more easily accessible for all homes.
Sustainable Materials
The use of sustainable materials such as up-cycled furniture, cork, and interior finishes that boast minimal environmental impact are fast becoming the new norm.
