Which Interior Design Service is best for you?
My Decorator offers two types of Interior Design Services, but we can also custom a package for you.
Option One – Interior Design Consultation
This service is ideal if you know your general design direction, but may have run into some challenges such as furniture layout issues, or you feel that your need further style clarity. You may just need to confirm a few things with an experienced Interior Designer, then you will feel confident enough to continue your decorating design journey yourself.
This service gives you the opportunity to ask us as many questions you like about any space that you are being challenged by. You will receive a written summary report after this consultation.
Option Two – Interior Design Package
This service is our most popular. This service is for you if you know how you want your space to look but need help getting there. This service can make what some may see as a daunting and overwhelming task and turn it into a fun, pleasurable experience as the pressure is of you and on us to walk you through the complete design process.
The Design Package includes a comprehensive Digital Moodboard where My Decorator will make recommendations on flooring, paint colour, lighting, soft furnishings, rugs, furniture, art, decorator accessories and more. Your Digital Moodboard will visually show you how your space could look. You will get Shopping Trips, a lot of support along the way and the process ends with a Styling Session to unveil the completed look.
This is also the ideal service to choose if you are renovating as we ensure that the end desired result is planned for right at the beginning of the design process.
What happens during a consultation? How does My Decorator work?
We are Your Decorator, so the first thing we want to do when we arrive is get to know you, the space in question and we do this by gleaning a client brief. We will basically ask a lot of questions about your space, who uses it, when and what it is used for so that we can work with you to come up with a new look that you will love to live or work in. We will take notes, measure and assess your space, chat with you about different style options, your tastes, likes and dislikes.
We will then go back to our office and use all the information we gathered at our appointment with you to begin to put together your Digital Moodboard. This is a document that will have our recommendations on it, of what we believe is the best solution for your interior, based on the information you have told us.
We then make a time with you to present your Digital Moodboard to you. It is very important that we go through and discuss our ideas with you so that we can explain our thinking behind the recommendations and more importantly it also gives us the opportunity to get feedback from you and make changes as needed.
Once you are happy with your Digital Moodboard and the proposed design direction we arrange a shopping trip with you. We use the Digital Moodboard as our guide and start implementing everything. When everything is in place in your home, we will come out and style everything for you.
